VBCPS Partnership Expo and PTA Vendor Fair celebrates collaborative efforts
between schools and community

The Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) Office of Community Engagement will host the 2018 VBCPS Partnership Expo and PTA Vendor Fair Saturday, March 10, from 9-11 a.m. at Old Donation School.

The event is free and open to the public and will feature representatives from more than 100 school division partnerships, including local businesses, non-profit, faith-based, military, civic and educational organizations that work with schools each day to design innovative, mutually beneficial educational opportunities to meet the unique needs of students and schools.

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit exhibits and speak with partners and school staff about community involvement in schools, volunteer and internship opportunities, new ways to connect real-world learning to the classroom as well as how to become a Partner in Education with VBCPS.

"This event is an invaluable opportunity for our community to learn more about the extensive resources and opportunities available to our schools and our students via school partnerships with our community," said Dr. Aaron Spence, VBCPS superintendent. "We cannot underscore enough how appreciative we are to our more than 2,100 partners in education. Their work, support and collaboration with the division allows our students to open new doors to once-in-a-lifetime experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom."
