College Night scheduled for Oct. 30

Representatives from more than 150 colleges, universities, proprietary schools and the military will be present at Virginia Beach City Public Schools' (VBCPS) College Night, Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th Street in Virginia Beach.

This free event is open to middle and high school students and their parents. Attendees will be able to ask questions about admissions, tuition, programs of study, student life and services or accommodations for students with disabilities. In addition, participants may attend financial aid workshops scheduled for 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

College Information Night is sponsored by the division's Office of Student Support Services. The office also maintains Scholarship Central, an online resource for high school students to review scholarship websites and search a database of scholarship opportunities.
