| Requirements/Eligibility: Applicant must be a graduating senior who will attend college on a full time schedule in the year 2010, and whose parent(s) is currently a Public Safety Employee for the City of Virginia Beach who works, or has worked rotating shifts during the student's elementary, middle or high school years. Applicant must complete and sign their application; submit at least one letter of recommendation from someone other than a family member; submit a transcript of their high school grades - minimum GPA of 2.5 is required; and write a paragraph of approximately 100 words describing how shift work has impacted their life. |
