Applicants must be a graduating senior within Virginia Beach Public Schools; have a GPA of at least 3.0, with the exception of the vocational scholarship; be a member of the school's PTSA and include supporting documentation such as a copy of the membership card; be planning to attend a university, college, or vocational institute in the fall of 2014; submit a copy of your high school transcript and two teacher recommendations; and must include a typed essay of at least 400 words stating why you should be the recipient of the council's scholarship. |
